From Lucy - COW, ROPE, SPRING, SOCKS - Black and White for MONOCHROME WEEKLY

The dark room used to be my favourite place. But it's a long time since I was there. These are the first photos I've taken in black and white with my new digital camera. (I took some with a phone before!) I'm not used to it yet - so I'd like criticism. PLEASE be critical.

Not much to be critical about - your camera has produced a good range of tones.
The top shot is very pleasing.
Welcome to Mono Weekly. We have some great contributors out there, I am sure you will pick up the threads of the medium once more in their company.

I love the long and thin theme! (Something I don't know about personally, HA!)

Cute ...

They are original, not photos of 13 in a dozen.

Great experiments with mono..
I liked the rope shot the best.

I like string and rope and am also partial to the socks. The stripes work wonderfully well in black and white.

Hello Aileni and everyone . . . Regina, Bettyl, Monica, Daryl, Hildegarde, Indrani and elizabethm . . .

Thank you for visiting The Third Column and commenting on the Cow, the Rope and the Socks. I'm especially glad that people liked the rope photo because, when I look at it logically, it's a bit murky - but, when I shut my eyes, I can still see it - which is why I chose that one instead of a crisper, more contrasted version.

I'm looking forward to more of your comments.

Love the socks...sorry if that wasn't critical enough :)

Hello Bim

Really glad people like the socks! One never knows! (Well, unless they say!)
